October Recap

October was a great month with some fun adventures. Early in the month, we did a hike in Eaton Canyon.

Then we went down to the San Diego Zoo for their centennial celebration.

And of course there was Halloween, which Miss R adored. (After much deliberation–she originally wanted to be an owl–she decided to be a princess.) Trick-or-treating with our neighbors was a blast.

I even got to sneak away this month for a mini writing retreat downtown. (It was my first time spending the night away from Miss R in her 3 1/2 years of life, so that was an adventure for both of us.) I was on the 13th floor (!), and there was a cosplay convention at the hotel that weekend, so it was an exciting time.

Finally, here are a couple of photos from October that I love.

Looking forward to November’s adventures!
