January Recap

Well, it’s been exactly four months since I last posted. Oops. In an attempt to catch up, I’m just going to group everything into monthly posts. So, without further ado, here’s what we did in January.

For months I’ve noticed some intriguing Victorian rooftops from the freeway near our home. I finally went to investigate and was thrilled to discover that the houses were actually part of a dedicated historic site called Heritage Square. So during the break, Miss R and I took a tour, which was absolutely fascinating.

During the holidays we also went ice skating at Pershing Square.

And we went to the Getty with some friends from grad school.

For New Year’s, we went to a neighbor’s party, and then I took Miss R to see the floats from the Rose Bowl Parade.

We also started dance class, went to Disneyland, put a fence in our backyard, hung some doors, finally finished the garage door, and participated in the Women’s March.
